English I (English for specific purposes: Medicine and Pharmacy) serves a dual purpose: to give university-level students of Danang University of Medical Technology and Pharmacy an introduction to the English terminology of medicine and to improve their overall use of the language.
After finishing this textbook, the students should be:
-mastering specific vocabulary and idioms in medicine;
-improving their reading, listening, speaking and writing skill for medical texts;
-improving their ability to communicate in English, especially with reference to medicine.
The textbook deals with such general topics such as parts of body, circulatory system, respiratory system, digestive system, urinary system, skeletal system, blood, symptoms, hygiene, infectious diseases and vaccination. Apart from general medicine, this book also includes professional knowledge related to some training categories such as General Medical Doctors, Nursing, Physiotherapy, Medical Imaging, Pharmacy, Dentistry, Medical Laboratory, Anaesthesia.
